Sunia is an artist and faith leader in pursuit of creative innovation that promotes connectivity and
belonging. As an abstract painter and musician, she creates from conversations and
experiences anchored to people and place. A founding pastor with The Groves, she leads as
the visionary, imagining what is possible in collaboration with those around her. Sunia’s primary
intent in all her work is to engage the heart and mind for a shared experience, bringing people
together for the common good.
Presently obsessed with: reimagining and developing old church facilities as creative arts and
inclusive neighborhood spaces, finding and activating place-based artists and musicians, and
practically anything related to adoption and foster care. Also, pastries and coffee, wine and
