Zarqa created the world’s first sitcom about a Muslim community living in the west. Little Mosque on the Prairie aired for 6 seasons, it was broadcast to over 60 countries. She has also made many short films: BBQ MUSLIMS, Death Threat, Random Check, Fred’s Burqa, Me & the Mosque. She has written her comedic memoir Laughing All the Way to the Mosque. Zarqa is a public speaker on Islam & comedy, gender, faith, multiculturalism & plurality. She lives in Regina and is married with 4 children.
